Can Loom connect to Claude?

Yes, through an MCP server. Loomscribe's hosted MCP server gives Claude read-only access to the Loom videos you've imported into Loomscribe: transcripts, summaries, action items, and semantic search. Claude Code connects with one command, and Claude Desktop with one config block.

Which Claude apps work?

Claude Code connects directly over HTTP. Claude Desktop connects through the mcp-remote bridge, which runs with npx. Custom connectors in the claude.ai web app expect an OAuth sign-in, and Loomscribe uses API keys, so the web app isn't supported yet.

Do I need to give Claude my Loom password or cookies?

No. Claude only ever sees a Loomscribe API key, which is read-only and which you can revoke at any time in Settings. Your Loom login never leaves Loom.

Can Claude change or delete my Loom videos?

No. Every tool the server exposes is read-only: it can list notebooks and videos, read transcripts and AI artifacts, and search. There are no tools to edit, delete, or share anything.

Step 1

Add your Loom videos to Loomscribe

Paste Loom share links into a Loomscribe notebook. Each video gets a speaker-labeled transcript, a summary, action items, and topics, and is indexed for search.

Step 2

Create an API key

Open Settings → Connect your AI tools and create a key. It's read-only, scoped to your account, and shown once, so copy it.

Step 3

Add Loomscribe to Claude

Run one command in Claude Code, or add one config block to Claude Desktop, with the Loomscribe MCP URL and your key. Claude can now read and search your Looms.
